Save Bell Bowl Prairie Print
This is a digital print of a mixed media drawing made in response to the plight of Bell Bowl Prairie. Bell Bowl Prairie, one of Illinois' last remaining prairies, is located at the Rockford International Airport. This prairie is important for a myriad of reasons, one of them being that it is home to many endangered flora and fauna. Destruction of this land is completely preventable with alternative plans on offer. Despite this, the Rockford International Airport is still planning on bulldozing this prairie come March 2022. Efforts to prevent the destruction had some success late last fall but it seems that those in power were merely waiting for the media attention to die down.
100% profit from sales of this print will go to Friends of IL Nature Preserves, partner organizations, and individuals who need assistance paying legal and campaign expenses to save the Bowl Bell Prairie. Please visit the following website to read more about what's happening :
